Something to Learn:

“The Irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating – in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic,  from the fear that likes to  dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

That’s a good observation! To add…commitment can be like blind love. Your desire to do this to which you are committed to is greater than any rationalization you or anybody can have against doing it, whether it’s committment to a person, a concept or an act. To wit, would I waltz in to a coffee shop in a bike jersey and spandex shorts and order a vanilla latte if I weren’t on a bike ride? I think not!
